The Green Team Environmental Club is a student organization at the Lab School focused on environmental justice and education. I have been a club member since the 9th grade and have served as Co-Lead for the last two years. As a club leader, in addition to organizing and leading Earth Day activities, I am most proud of our initiative to increase the use of water fountains on campus. To make this goal exciting and engaging, we developed the “100,000 refills” challenge and created a social media personality for our school’s water fountain. I am always looking for ways to promote environmental awareness and will continue this education in all my future work.
